Outworking of Jehovah's Purpose
Wha?!? He's GOD for Christ's sake. He either DOES something or he DOESN'T. He doesn't need to work anything out.
i have seen these words/phrases used frequently by the wtbs and rarely elsewhere.
** warning, this may become a barf inducing list.
your mileage may vary.. faithful and discreet slavefield servicemodern day antediluvians (pulled that one out of my hat)what words or phrases strike you as uniquely "watchtower"?.

from jw.org, here is the new definition of the generation from the april 15, 2010 watchtower.. .
article: holy spirits role in the outworking of jehovahs purpose.
13 third, holy spirit is at work in bringing bible.
I think I'm going to be sick.
Seriously.
so as not to hijack other threads, i still can't understand why people keep referring to the new, "members only" watchtower as "secret?".
if you go to the meeting, you will get a copy.
if you have a family member, you can get a copy.
"If a newbie walks into the KH on a given sunday, he's given a copy.
Someone said that KM is only for active publishers. Wrong. People attending on a regular basis and children are also given one."
Both of these statements are incorrect. Most congregations do not order enough of the Kool Aid versions to have extras on hand for newbies. In fact, many times the publisher who misses a lot of meetings ends up having to look on with someone else because the lit counter runs out before he gets his. And the KM is for publishers only. If a child gets one it is because the kid's reporting service time.
during the dark days of the second world war , the monsters that ran a concentration camp decided to hang a child.. they hung the poor little chap so that it took half an hour for him to die, all the while making the other inmates look into the face of the child.. where was your god then ?
was he not strong enough to do anything or did he just not care ?.
if the first then he is a very weak god, if the second then,.
Just a thought, maybe Jesus really did say that "the Kingdom of God is within you," and the NWT is absolutely wrong. Maybe in looking upward and outward for God, we're looking in the completely wrong direction.
why do they appear so similar?.
many times i've been accused of using watchtower material in my presentations, when all i really own is a few bible translations and my concordance, which i rely on quite heavily, at times.
as for owning any watchtower material that i copy from, i have none of that, in my room at all that i use!
"Some during the time of the Christs invisible presence..."
This is where you lost me. You can't just throw out WT-speak like "Christs invisible presence" without any scriptural support for such a premise. Most people who have read the Bible don't believe in Christ being present invisibly, therefore if you're going to use the phrase, you need to support it. Otherwise, the rest of your article fails to convince.
the wts, being american, prints its english material in american english.
i know some people might trash me here but for a european i found it frustrating.
color is supposed to be colour, highway is motorway and a faucet is a bloody tap!
Spelling errors are one thing. Easily corrected.
But the arrogance of believing that European English is somehow superior to USA English is downright elitist. Why in the world would the word "color" need a "u" in it?
these people just love instiling guilt on these poor souls.. .
at a recent circuit assembly a circuit overseer gave an awesome talk during the portion, 'giving attention to the needs of the circuit.
and with such a high pricetag, please don't let it be empty.
Would anyone continue to pay to attend THE SAME concert or opera twice a week for the rest of their life?
just found out friend also posting on this site.
very heart warming.
has anyone else made similar happy discoveries?.
Not yet but I keep looking forward to it.

I don't see the word "secret" used much in connection to the "Study Edition" WT. Sometimes it is used sarcastically, rarely completely seriously, though there is some level of secrecy to it.
Personally, I prefer to call it the Kool Aid version.
this just in from the rumor mill.. the society are selling their printing presses in mexico and that the mexican witnesses would now have to get all of their literature from the canadian branch from here on out.
needless to say, the mexican jws are livid.. as you know the society did the same thing with the madrid branch in spain.
as of this past october all literature now comes from the london branch.. rr.
I think all North America is going to be getting its bird cage liners from Canada before too long. New York is downsizing.
